Job Description Summary

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing the commissioning activities of a combined cycle power plant to ensure systems are installed, tested, and operational according to project specifications and requirements. This role requires close coordination with engineering teams, construction managers, and plant operators to achieve successful start-up and operation of the plant.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop comprehensive commissioning plans and schedules.
    • Coordinate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to ensure alignment of commissioning activities.
  • Execution of Commissioning Activities:
    • Lead and supervise commissioning team members and contractors.
    • Oversee the testing and validation of systems including turbines, generators, heat recovery steam generators, and auxiliary systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues during commissioning.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed accurately and maintained.
    • Prepare progress reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Implement safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Liaise with clients, contractors, partner and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to plant operators and commissioning team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning activities within the power generation industry, specifically in combined cycle power plants.

    For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

     

     

    Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
