This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Partner Onboarding & Activation in Canada.

This is a senior, high-impact leadership role responsible for owning the full partner onboarding lifecycle, from contract signature through activation, first value delivery, and stable billing. You will act as the single accountable owner for all onboarding outcomes, ensuring partners are successfully enabled both commercially and technically within their first 90 days. Operating in a fast-paced cloud and SaaS environment, you will lead cross-functional coordination across Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Support to deliver a seamless and scalable onboarding experience. The role blends operational excellence with strategic transformation, continuously improving how partners are activated and supported. You will be responsible for reducing time-to-value, eliminating friction, and building a best-in-class onboarding journey. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in systems thinking, process ownership, and cross-functional influence.

Accountabilities

  • Own the end-to-end partner onboarding strategy, defining and continuously improving onboarding journeys tailored to different partner segments and complexity levels.
  • Lead operational execution of onboarding programs, ensuring consistent delivery, adherence to SLAs, and achievement of key performance metrics such as cycle time, activation rates, and partner satisfaction.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Sales, Product, Support, Finance, and Engineering to ensure seamless handoffs and a unified partner experience from onboarding through activation.
  • Ensure partners reach key activation milestones including first migrations, platform usage, and initial billing accuracy within defined timelines.
  • Identify onboarding risks, bottlenecks, and adoption gaps, proactively resolving issues and improving time-to-value through process optimization and automation.
  • Continuously improve onboarding frameworks, tools, and playbooks by leveraging Voice of Customer insights and performance data.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop onboarding team leaders, building scalable team structures and fostering a high-performance, accountable culture.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Customer Success, Partner Enablement, Onboarding, or post-sales leadership roles within SaaS, cloud, or IT services environments.
  • Proven experience managing managers or senior team leads and driving cross-functional initiatives across complex organizations.
  • Strong ability to design scalable operational systems while maintaining attention to detail and execution excellence.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and align diverse teams around shared outcomes.
  • Experience working in cloud, MSP, or channel ecosystems is highly desirable, particularly within Microsoft or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of onboarding processes, customer lifecycle management, and partner activation strategies.
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
