Job Description

Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives on diagnosing complex technical challenges? Avery Dennison is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will act as a technical consultant, leading installations, diagnostics, and repairs for mechanical and electrical equipment directly at customer sites. You will "own" your territory, building strong connections with customers while ensuring their operations run at peak performance.

What You’ll Do 

  • Deliver Results: Independently manage and schedule service visits, including preventative maintenance and emergency repairs within your assigned territory.

  • Display Agility: Perform on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting for complex electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.

  • Champion Collaboration: Partner with sales teams to stay ahead of customer needs and identify opportunities for service improvement.

  • Technical Instruction: Educate customers on equipment operation and maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and software applications.

  • Resource Management: Manage your own parts inventory and company assets to ensure quick, efficient response times.

Qualifications

Who You Are 

  • Technical Foundation: Associate’s degree in Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Experience: 2+ years of field technical service experience in a similar industry.

  • Curiosity & Diagnostics: You have a natural drive to understand how things work and a "root cause" mindset for troubleshooting.

  • Resilience: Comfortable with daily regional travel (up to a 3-hour radius) and maintaining a high level of independence.

  • Digital Fluency: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and diagnostic software applications.
