Job Summary Overview
The position is responsible for originating mortgage loans and advises borrowers throughout the residential lending experience. Responsible for building effective relationships within the community and participating in events (e.g., Realtor, Title Company, Builder, Chamber meetings, etc.) and other opportunities to educate referral sources about Arizona Financial Credit Union.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED and one (1) year experience in Residential Lending as a Mortgage Loan Originator or in a sales related position withing the Retail or Consumer Lending field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA loan guidelines along with investor guidelines and policies. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Work requires strong organizational skills, professional written and verbal communication, self-direction and teamwork. Ability to provide client service, support credit union objectives, and produce quality work within tight timeframes. Ability to resolve operational issues.
Licenses, Training, and Certifications Required
Maintain compliance with the federal Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing (S.A.F.E.) Act of 2008. Arizona Financial Credit Union employees acting as Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO) must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS or Registry) and obtain a unique identifier (NMLS Number).
