Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tableau Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Tableau Admin, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and performance of our Tableau environments, ensuring that our analytics and business intelligence capabilities are top-notch. This position will be full-time and remote.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Administer and Monitor: Manage, monitor, and optimize Tableau Server/Cloud environments to ensure high performance and stability.
- Cluster Stabilization and Planning: Lead initiatives in cluster stabilization, load balancing, and capacity planning to support business needs.
- Platform Management: Implement and oversee Tableau platform upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery setups.
- Compliance and Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and compliance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve platform-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, authentication problems, and dashboard rendering delays.
- Framework Design: Develop scalable and reusable frameworks for platform governance, user provisioning, and content management.
- Technical Solutions: Provide comprehensive technical solutions to meet TE’s analytics and modern BI requirements.
- Standards and Policies: Contribute to the formulation of BI standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Data Warehousing: Facilitate data sharing through modern data warehousing tools and practices.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with Business and Technical teams across all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Technical Decisions: Participate in major technical and architectural decision-making processes.
- Prototyping: Engage in hands-on prototyping or POC/V of modern technology solutions.
- Project Management: Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and update task plans for BI work and manage critical task issues and dependencies.
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in administering Tableau environments.
- Proven track record in managing and optimizing Tableau Server/Cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cluster stabilization, load balancing, and capacity planning.
- Experience with implementing platform upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery setups.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with enterprise standards and collaboration with infrastructure and security teams.
- Proficiency in designing scalable frameworks for governance and content management.
- Solid understanding of modern BI practices and data warehousing tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Physical Demands
- This role involves mostly sedentary work, with occasional movement around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a computer, using a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
