The role you’ll contribute\:  

The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes working with a Care Team of MDs, Advanced Practitioners, and Nurses to provide collaborative care. Demonstrating organizational agility, coordinate cross functionality to get answers and put patients first. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients telephonically and obtaining clinical information. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments.

  • Provide support for your Care Team, including MDs, Advanced Practitioners, and Nurses.
  • Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or results
  • Be available as needed to help resolve patient issues by autonomously and passionately serving as the point of contact of all patient escalations.
  • Own proactive planning for each patient’s medical needs with follow through to solution.
  • Resolve problems, complete audits, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement change.
  • Provide guidance, motivation, and encouragement to guides in order to achieve goals.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed\:  

Minimum qualifications\:  

  • High School Grad or Equiv Required

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Required

  • National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP) Required

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required

  • American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) Required 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Preferred
