Duties & Responsibilities

Recurring Duties

  • Own the month-end close reporting process, including financial statement analysis, variance analysis, trend analysis, and ad hoc ratio and KPI reporting as needed.
  • Manage the monthly budgeting cycle, including variance analysis and budget-to-actual reporting with clear written commentary
  • Produce and maintain weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, flagging risks and opportunities proactively
  • Support fractional CFOs with monthly report reviews, ensuring accuracy and insight quality before client delivery

 

Project and Advisory Work

  • Conduct ad hoc financial modeling to support client decision-making, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing
  • Perform business valuations and support valuation-related engagements as needed
  • Carry out industry analysis and competitive benchmarking to contextualize client performance
  • Deliver P&L analysis with actionable recommendations, not just observations
  • Participate in FinTeam's client assessment process (the Drake Check), supporting the sales and onboarding pipeline

 

Firm Development (As Applicable)

  • Contribute to internal process improvements, workflow automation, and tooling initiatives
  • Support the development of firm-wide financial apps, templates, and reporting infrastructure as the firm scales

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience

3-7+ years of hands-on FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis work. We value depth of experience over length of tenure.

 

Designations

CA, CA(SA), CPA, CFA, and/or FMVA preferred. Candidates actively working toward a designation are encouraged to apply. FinTeam will consider reimbursing designation costs for the right candidate.

Package & Remuneration

Salary will be determined commensurate with skills, experience, and abilities.
