Position Summary
The Regional Manager is a high-impact leader responsible for the operational, clinical, and financial performance of multiple dental practices within a designated geographic area. This role bridges the gap between strategic leadership and day-to-day practice operations, driving alignment with company goals, ensuring excellence in patient experience, optimizing financial outcomes, and developing high-performing teams. The Regional Manager will serve as a mentor, coach, and performance driver, with strong analytical acumen and an operational mindset.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure execution of standardized operating procedures across all practices
- Conduct regular office visits to monitor cleanliness, team culture, safety protocols, and efficiency
- Evaluate practice performance using operational scorecards and audit tools
- Resolve escalated operational or patient issues quickly and professionally
- Implement workflow enhancements that improve patient access and reduce inefficiencies
Financial & Business Performance
- Analyze office-level and regional financial reports (P&L, KPIs, AR) monthly
- Drive cost containment initiatives including dental/office supply spend and staffing optimization
- Set and manage regional budgets in partnership with Leann
- Identify and address underperformance through corrective action plans
- Champion operational strategies that support EBITDA growth
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for office leadership roles
- Create individualized development plans for managers and key staff
- Facilitate weekly touchpoints with OM’s, monthly office performance reviews, and monthly Office Manager meetings
- Model and reinforce servant leadership principles
- Manage employee relations and support resolution of HR concerns
Clinical Collaboration & Provider Support
- Partner with Clinical Leaders and EDO to align clinical goals with operational performance
- Monitor and support daily provider schedules to optimize productivity
- Support transitions of clinical providers, including onboarding and exit planning
- Collaborate with providers to improve patient case acceptance and recall
- Assist in managing patient feedback and experience initiatives
Revenue Cycle Management & Compliance
- Collaborate with OM to review AR aging and resolve systemic billing issues
- Provide office training and guidance on best practices for claims, insurance verification, and collections
- Monitor and coach managers on front-office and financial presentation skills utilizing 10 step financial presentation SOP
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols via audits and training
Strategic Planning & Growth Execution
- Contribute to development and execution of the company’s growth roadmap
- Support integration and stabilization of new acquisitions and de novo locations
- Partner with marketing to execute regional campaigns, promotions, and events
- Conduct competitive market analysis and identify local growth opportunities
- Present regional performance and initiatives to executive leadership quarterly (QBR)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 5 years of progressive multi-site leadership in dental or healthcare
- Deep understanding of P&L, budget planning, and strategic financial management
- High emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills, ability to de-escalate situations effectively
- Ability to influence across multiple stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships
- Proficiency in Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Ascend (or equivalent)
- Analytical thinker with ability to interpret data and take decisive action
- Commitment to coaching, mentoring, and developing emerging leaders
- Change management expertise in rapidly growing environments
Work Schedule, Office Visit & Travel Expectations
- Full-time Position
- On-site field support required 3–4 days per week across assigned region
- Remote administrative work 1–2 days per week
- Evening and weekend availability for events, trainings, or urgent escalations as needed
- Ensuring to be present with office (supporting clinical in the back, sitting at front, should not be traveling to offices and “working” in a “side” office)
- Strategically plan and coordinate travel schedules to maximize regional coverage while ensuring cost-effective use of company resources.
